Scripture

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.

“All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. “ 2 Timothy 3:16

The Godhead

We believe there is one God who exists eternally as three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” Matthew 28:19

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of the virgin Mary. He came as fully God and fully man. We believe he lead a sinless life, fully obedient to the Father’s plan and made himself known through may signs and wonders. We believe he died on the cross for our sin, willingly laying down his life. We believe that after three days he rose from the dead, appeared to many witnesses here on earth, and ascended into heaven. We believe he will come again in glory.

“The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”– which means, “God with us” Matthew 1:23

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit lives in everyone who professes Jesus Christ as Lord. We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to lead us in daily sanctification and that it is the Holy Spirit that gives us the power to live a godly life.

“If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. Acts 2:38

The Human Condition

We believe that God created Adam and Eve perfect, whole, and sinless but that they fell to temptation and brought sin and death into the world. We now live in a broken world where sin and death exist, but the power of Christ’s resurrection means that this world is not the end. Someday we will live with him forever in heaven where we will be restored to a perfect and glorious state and there will be no more sin, no more tears, and no more death.

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:27

“To the woman he said, “I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children. Your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you.” And to Adam he said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife and have eaten of the tree of which I commanded you, ‘You shall not eat of it,’ cursed is the ground because of you; in pain you shall eat of it all the days of your life; thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you; and you shall eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” Genesis 3:16-19

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Revelation 21:1-5

Salvation

We believe that faith in Jesus Christ is the only means of salvation and that this faith secures us in relationship with God forever. We believe that all our sins were covered by the shed blood of Christ and salvation is available to all who would choose faith in Christ.

“because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God” Ephesians 2:8
